![]() ![]() For me, the formula and coverage is just perfect, and I think it will always be my all-time favorite. Overall, I still have to say that Tarte Shape Tape concealer reigns supreme. I’m sharing the best full coverage drugstore concealers, and the best Tarte Shape concealer dupes on the market!įull-Coverage Drugstore Concealers: Best Tarte Shape Tape Dupes If you’re looking for a high coverage concealer that covers everything without breaking the bank, today’s post is for you. While my search was always futile in the past, there’s been a few new concealers released at the drugstore over the past year that have completely changed the game. ![]() That’s why I have searched for years for a Tarte Shape Tape dupe. Just to be clear, I think it’s worth every penny because one tube will last you a very long time, but I completely understand that it can’t always fit in your budget. It’s also $27 a tube, which is expensive. Shape Tape covers everything, blends easily, stays in place all day long, and is literally just magic in a tube. It’s the best of the best, and for years, I haven’t been able to find anything that comes even remotely close to it in performance. I am a ride or die fan of Tarte’s Shape Tape concealer. There is room in my collection for the ELF Camo Concealer, but with my current dry skin condition, I won’t be reaching for it often.JavaScript is currently disabled in this browser. It all comes down to a matter of personal preference and skintype. However, if you encountered dryness and emphasized texture like I have with the Shape Tape, you can expect that from the ELF Camo Concealer as well. Is this a dupe for the Tarte Shape Tape Concealer? In terms of coverage, packaging, and longevity, yes, this is an affordable dupe for the Shape Tape. Overall Rating: Based on my experience, I’m rating the ELF 16HR Camo Concealers as 7/10 stars. A little goes a long way for full coverage. Application: I apply a thin layer of this concealer directly on the undereyes with the large doe foot applicator, then quickly press it into the skin with the Real Techniques Contour Brush, followed by a damp ELF Total Face Sponge to blend out any lines and soak up excess product. Luckily, Tan Latte matches me pretty well as an undereye concealer. Medium Sand is definitely too light for me so it has become my new eyeshadow priming base. Swatches: I picked up the shades Medium Sand, which is described as medium with neutral undertones, and Tan Latte, described as tan with warm-neutral undertones. This is incredibly convenient and helpful when ordering makeup online. I appreciate that the ELF website includes shade descriptions with corresponding undertones to help you with your color match. Shade Range: There are currently 18 shades offered, which is generous particularly for the drugstore. As a result, I would only recommend this concealer if you have normal or combo to oily skin. However, when I returned to Arizona, the epitome of a dry, desert climate, this concealer became too drying for my undereyes □ Misting on a setting spray does help reduce the powdery, cakey look, but the concealer itself started clinging to dry patches and emphasizing texture and those little bumps under my eyes. At max, I’ve worn this between 6-8 hours and it does stay put on the skin without breaking apart, even through sweat, sand, and surf. ![]() This concealer claims to last 16 hours, which I think is a rather excessive amount of time to be wearing makeup, but this is longlasting. The concealer is on the thick side and dries down rather quickly, so you have to blend it into the skin immediately. The formula is creamy and a little goes a long way in quickly building full coverage with a true matte finish. During that time, my skin was a lot more hydrated so I quite enjoyed this concealer. Formula: I tested this concealer for almost 3 weeks in Southeast Asia where the climate was very hot and humid. Price: $5 ( ) Packaging: In regards to packaging, it has the same short, stout, round tube packaging and large doe foot applicator as the Tarte Shape Tape or more recently released, the L’Oreal Infallible Full Wear Concealer (review here). The highly pigmented formula is lightweight, dries matte and won’t settle into fine lines or creases. What it is: A full-coverage, 16-hour wear concealer featuring a large doe foot applicator to conceal, correct, contour and highlight for flawless skin. Now that I’ve had over a month to play around with the product, I can share with you my honest opinions based on my personal experience. So, I took the chance and packed them with me to test on the road. One of the products that stood out to me the most were the new ELF 16hr Camo Concealers. I placed an ELF haul last month, which arrived right before I left for my trip to Asia. ![]()
